Megan Jehn is an epidemiologist and member of the global health faculty in the School of Human Evolution and Social Change at Arizona State University. Her scholarship and community engagement broadly focus on the resilience of social-ecological systems to disasters. She brings together large, diverse teams to address public health challenges such as vaccine hesitancy, food insecurity, and infectious disease outbreak dynamics. Dr. Jehn currently directs ASU's COVID-19 Community Response Team, which provides COVID-19 case investigation, contract tracing, and field epidemiology support to ASU and surrounding communities. She also leads the ASU Student Outbreak Response Team, a service-learning program designed to help students receive hands-on training in public health while providing surge capacity for state, local, and tribal public health partners.
Dr. Jehn received her doctorate and master's of health science degrees in epidemiology from the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health. Dr. Jehn teaches undergraduate courses in epidemiology, global health, and quantitative research methods. Her mentoring, teaching, and community service have been recently recognized with awards such as the Zebulon Pearce Distinguished Teaching Award, the Centennial Professorship, and the Gary Krahenbuhl Difference Maker Award.
