Lynda Root

Lynda Root's experience in nursing includes direct patient care in critical care, inpatient psychiatric nursing, crisis intervention, leadership, and nursing education in both hospital and academic settings. She has practiced as a Psychiatric Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist in health care organizations and provided consultation in areas of team building, communication and conflict resolution.

Professor Root's focus is in the DNP program in course development, mentoring, DNP students, teaching evidence-based practice, leadership and innovation courses. She is the specialty coordinator for the Post-Masters and Innovation Leadership DNP programs.
