Pauline is a Project Manager, Senior in the Center for Human, Artificial Intelligence, and Robot Teaming (CHART), supporting the CHART research portfolio within the Global Security Initiative and The Polytechnic School. She provides operational and project leadership to faculty, students, and other researchers on projects from sponsors including DARPA, NASA, AFOSR, ONR, ARL, and NSF. She works with stakeholders from within ASU, as well as a wide variety of other academic institutions, industry partners, and government funding agencies to ensure CHART’s projects maintain open communication, cohesive collaboration, and flexibility on the way to meeting their deliverables.
She works with the CHART Leadership Team to strategize about and execute initiatives related to faculty & student engagement, funding opportunities, and community outreach. In addition, she oversees: purchasing and hiring across all CHART research/seedling projects; planning and execution of a variety of in-person, hybrid, and virtual events; operations of the CHART lab space; data-sharing agreements with external institutions; and payment of human subjects.
She has cumulatively worked at ASU for over 20 years, and previously managed business operations (including finance, human resources, and special projects) in Counseling Services and Health Services. She is CITI Certified in Social and Behavioral Research, is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with the Project Management Institute, and holds a Batchelor's degree in Political Science from ASU.
