Pauline is a Portfolio Manager in the Interplanetary Initiative, supporting their pilot project research portfolio. She provides strategic project support to faculty, students, and other researchers from academia, government, and industry on projects pursuing II’s mission of advancing space activities that produce public value and a shared stewardship for all living things on Earth and beyond, now and in the future. She works with diverse groups of stakeholders to ensure II’s projects maintain open communication, cohesive collaboration, and flexibility on the way to meeting their deliverables. She also collaborates with the II Team to strategize about and execute initiatives related to fostering strategic partnerships, pursuing funding opportunities, and engaging with external collaborators to help projects grow and scale.
She has cumulatively worked at ASU for over 25 years. Prior to joining the II team, she managed business operations (including finance, human resources, and special projects) in Counseling Services and Health Services and managed sponsored research projects in the Department of Defense and intelligence sectors for the Global Security Initiative’s Center for Human, Artificial Intelligence, and Robot Teaming (CHART). She worked in both the pre- and post-award space, guiding projects from proposal to close-out. She is CITI Certified in Social and Behavioral Research, is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with the Project Management Institute, and holds a Batchelor's degree in Political Science from ASU.
