Pauline is a Project Manager, Senior on the Finance Team of the Global Security Initiative, supporting a research portfolio of federal and philanthropic sponsored projects. She provides strategic research administration and project oversight for faculty, students, and other researchers from academia, government, and industry on projects advancing national security. She works with diverse groups of stakeholders to ensure GSI’s projects maintain open communication, cohesive collaboration, and flexibility on the way to meeting their deliverables.
She has cumulatively worked at ASU for over 25 years. Prior to re-joining the GSI team, she managed a portfolio of pilot research projects in the Interplanetary Initiative and collaborated with the II Team to strategize about and execute initiatives related to fostering strategic partnerships, pursuing funding opportunities, and engaging with external collaborators to help projects grow and scale.
Previously at GSI, she managed sponsored research projects in the Department of Defense and intelligence sectors for the Center for Human, Artificial Intelligence, and Robot Teaming (CHART). She worked in both the pre- and post-award space, guiding projects from proposal to close-out, and worked with center leadership to pursue opportunities for increased center growth and impact. Earlier in her career, she managed business operations (including finance, human resources, and special projects) in Counseling Services and Health Services.
Pauline is CITI Certified in Social and Behavioral Research, is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with the Project Management Institute, and holds a Batchelor's degree in Political Science from ASU.
