David Pierce Uffens is a mediator and practicing litigation attorney and Partner at Jaburg Wilk in Phoenix, Arizona. He is a Bar-Certified Family Law Specialist and has conducted hundreds of trials, non-evidentiary hearings, mediations, and settlements. David has been selected as a Super Lawyers® Rising Star and Best Lawyers One to Watch, he is Peer and Client Reviewed by Martindale-Hubbell®, a National Association of Distinguished Counsel Fellow, and has received Top 10 rankings from the National Association of Family Law Attorneys and American Institute of Family Law Attorneys. He is also a Judge Pro Tempore in Maricopa County.

David was born and raised in Scottsdale, Arizona. He currently focuses on family litigation and also previously represented Division-I collegiate coaches in disputes with the NCAA regarding Bylaws enforcement, sanctions, University compliance, and contract negotiation. David graduated with his Juris Doctorate in two and a half years from the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law at Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona. He finished ranked in the top 30% of his class and served as an Articles Editor for the Jurimetrics Journal of Law, Science and Technology. David has centralized his legal focus on family law, corporate transactional and litigation work, sports and entertainment, emerging companies, and technology.
David served as an advisory board member for the nonprofit Herberger Theatre Young Leadership Board and the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law Gold ’N Gavel Auction Committee. He also teaches Family Law, Amateur Sports Law, and Professional Sports Law at ASU.
During his time at the College of Law, David served as executive board leadership for several student-run organizations, including Sun Devil SELSA, JLSA, and Junior Law. He regularly provides guidance to organizations regarding conference and budget planning, professional networking, social media marketing, and membership growth. David has held a myriad of legal positions providing him with immense experience.
David graduated with High Distinction for his Pro Bono Service with Junior Law, Street Law, and several moot court organizations. His leadership and passion were motivating factors in the development and implementation of the new Sports Law & Business programs at ASU. Prior to attending law school, David spent two years as a multi-store Branch Manager at a major national financial institution where he successfully initiated multiple programs to motivate sales success while maintaining customer needs as top priority. David's branch ranked first in Arizona of 251 stores for combined sales and customer service in consecutive quarters. He also has achieved a myriad of awards for sales, leadership and customer solutions and established Platinum Level of Excellence in sales and service consistently.
David graduated Summa Cum Laude with his Master's in Communication Management at the University of Southern California in one year. His graduation thesis, written under the advisement of Dr. Mathew Curtis and Dr. Ben Lee, is entitled, For the Sanctity of the Game: The Corruption of College Football and Whether Booster Statements Can Repair It. This work showcases David's passion for college sport and his quest to protect the integrity of amateur athletics.
David graduated Magna Cum Laude with his Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the Annenberg School for Communication at USC in three years. His specific focus at Annenberg included mastering interpersonal and organizational communication. David also achieved a minor in Business Law from the Marshall School of Business.
