Dave Keating is an associate professor of strategic communication in the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University. Dr. Keating's primary research explores the design and effects of strategic messaging. Much of his current work focuses on how people process and are influenced by messaging given their existing systems of beliefs, the role and impact of message repetition, and how to optimize influence in strategic communication contexts. This research often involves messaging that promotes prosocial beliefs and behaviors.
