Coffey examines how we can enable all individuals, regardless of their background, to overcome adversity and thrive. He does this by researching how emotions and relationships from infancy to adulthood are linked to happiness, resiliency, and health.

Research explores mental health in biology learning environments, with a focus on depression and cohort-sequential longitudinal methods. Prior experience in mixed methods design for both biology education and psychology.

Nikki Fordey (she/they) is a LCSW/LISAC entering 2L year at ASU Law. Originally from the Northeast, they moved to Arizona in 2021 as the dry and hot climate is more hospitable to her connective tissue disorder.
