The mission of FEWL is to increase knowledge of insects as bioindicators in forensic contexts through scientific research and broad educational outreach.

Studies how biological tools can be used to increase accuracy and precision in forensic entomology and biology disciplines, with a focus on genomic, transcriptomic and ecological studies. 

Montero's research draws from the fields of forensic chemistry, data science, and cognitive science.

Erin Hickson is a full time Forensic Scientist in Firearms and Forensic Artist and started teaching about Forensics in Fall of 2019 at ASU West. She has worked in a Crime Lab as a Forensic Scientist since 2006.

Brandon Nabozny is the owner and lead instructor at Forza Forensics, LLC, a forensic science training and consulting company based in Phoenix, Arizona.
