Dong’s research interests focus on advancing clean-energy technologies through sustainable design and manufacturing of multifunctional composites and ceramics by interdisciplinary modeling and experimental efforts.

Courtois is a Program Coordinator for the NASA L’SPACE Program and supports the program’s workforce development academies - the Mission Concept Academy (MCA) and NASA Proposal Writing and Evaluation Experience (NPWEE).
