Karam's research interests include image/video processing, compression and transmission, computer vision, machine learning, visual quality assessment and perception, multidimensional signal processing, digital filtering and biomedical imaging.

Liang is a professor of biomedical informatics, computer science, computer engineering, and biomedical engineering. In addition to 100+ publications, he holds 35 patents. He is an elected NAI Fellow and has received numerous awards at ASU.

Scowen's interests include star formation, astronomical space mission development, imaging, detectors and mirror coatings.

Jim Bell is an astronomer, planetary scientist, author, and educator. His research focuses on the geology, mineralogy, and geochemistry of planets, moons, asteroids, and comets. He also directs the ASU NewSpace Initiative.

Sha's research concerns ethico-aesthetic improvisation, and a topological approach to morphogenesis and process philosophy.

Jason Drees is a Multimedia Developer Lead at Decision Theater. In this role, he designs and develops visual, multimedia, animation, and graphic elements that enhance scientific communications.

Yan's research interests include machine learning, data analytics for images, profiles and time series data for change detection and localization, and spatial-temporal analysis.
