Cory A. Buckband, Ph.D. is a 2024 graduate in Educational Policy & Evaluation at MLFTC. He has taught undergraduate and graduate courses on Educational Language Policy and Diversity in Family & Community Engagement.

Yalda M. Kaveh is an associate professor of Bilingual Education at MLFC. Her work focuses on language policy, bi/multilingualism in (im)migrant families, family engagement in education, and culturally sustaining pedagogies.

Torres is an applied sociolinguist who employs both quantitative and qualitative methods to analyze spoken and written discourses related to medical interactions and policies, as well as AI use in language learning.
