Jennifer Miller is a lifelong Sun Devil with a bachelor’s degree in English and a master’s degree in public administration from Arizona State University. She recently completed an Ed.D. in educational leadership with a focus on higher education (unfortunately, not from ASU).
Jennifer's research interests center on student retention and persistence. Her dissertation research looked at how autistic students form support networks in college. As a neurodivergent learner herself, Jennifer wants to understand how students use their strengths to improve academic success.
Jennifer has been teaching at ASU since 2012 and is an Assistant Teaching Professor in Success by Design, a part of University College. Jennifer has developed curriculum for courses in leadership, creative problem-solving, critical thinking, and academic success and teaches a wide array of courses that build skills for academic and workplace success.
Jennifer has a daughter who is currently in college and a cat named Chai. In her free time she likes to paint and play board games.
