Tray Geiger is a Senior Research Scientist at the EdPlus Action Lab at Arizona State University. Action Lab is a learning laboratory that researches large transformational projects and learning prototypes that aim to improve student persistence and success at scale for everyone. Action Lab produces rigorous scholarly research committed to improving equity, inclusivity, and the quality of higher education for learners everywhere.
He uses his extensive expertise in research design; higher education student success; and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) to lead the research efforts of Dreamscape Learn, a virtual reality experience combining narrative storytelling and expert pedagogy for students in undergraduate biology classes at ASU.
Prior to his role at EdPlus, Tray has contributed to a variety of student success and retention initiatives within ASU's Office of the University Provost. His scholarly research agenda spans several topics, including higher education early warning systems, K-12 teacher evaluation policy, elementary and secondary school accountability policy, and teacher retention.
