Tera McDonald (Solorio) is a Graduate Teacher Prep Clinical Assistant Professor. She teaches Elementary, secondary, and Special Education courses at ASU. She graduated from ASU with her M.Ed. in Education. Tera is endorsed in structures English Immersion, has a BSBA degree in Business Administration, and is a licensed massage therapist. She has been in the teaching profession since 1998. She is experienced in the field as a guest teacher in all grade levels and has taught in special education at the high school and elementary level for 18 years. Her strength is elementary and secondary and special education. She has spent a majority of her teaching time in these grad level. Tera collaborated with Principled Innovation with MLFTC at ASU since 2017 infusing the principles into content and teaching practices when applicable. Tera collaborates with ASU and USAid with the Georgia projects. Tera has collaborated with Teach for America on with ASU. Tera is instrumental in the District Partnership launch. Tera is a California native and has lived and taught in California, Brazil, Japan, Washington DC, Florida, and Arizona. Teaching is her passion and believes the world is a better place with considerate and compassionate teachers who can deliver content in a way that meets the individual learning style of their students.
