Wayne McIntosh

Wayne McIntosh is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree from Arizona State University. He currently cares for the pediatric outpatient population at A New Leaf, which is a non-profit serving the poor and underserved across the Valley, he teaches as a part-time faculty associate in the Edson College of Health and Nurisng Innovation's Doctor of Nursing Program. He does outreach with the LGBTQ community,  which started from the evidence-based project that he completed for his doctoral degree, through volunteer work and advocacy. He also mentors doctoral students which guides them through the evidence-based process and precepts Nurse Practitioners in training for their family psychiatric mental health certification. He has served his country proudly in the Navy onboard the USS Puget Sound.
