John Crozier, M.S., CSP, ASP is the Program Manager of Safety Programs for the School of Molecular Sciences (SMS) at Arizona State University (ASU). Mr. Crozier sees that the school’s environmental health and safety programs are in compliance with federal, state, and local laws including the ASU Chemical Hygiene Plan and other ASU EH&S programs and policies.
He has a Master’s of Science in Environmental and Resource Management, a Bachelor’s of Science in Environmental Technology Management and is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and Associate Safety Professional (ASP). His academic interests include nuclear and chemical engineering and environmental chemistry, particularly stabilization of the atmospheric carbon dioxide concentration.
He has served as a Safety Officer in the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering, Laboratory Inspector and Senior Compliance Officer for ASU EH&S. His desire to continually improve the safety culture at ASU through networking and leading by example is evident in each of his previous positions.
He is a proud Veteran of the United States Navy, having served on the U.S.S. Augusta, SSN-710, nuclear fast attack submarine for four years as a Machinist Mate (MM2/SS) and Engineering Laboratory Technician (ELT). He qualified as a Submarine Safety Operator and fulfilled the requirements for Leading ELT and Engine Room Supervisor.
