Michael Todd, drawing on training in social psychology, health psychology, alcohol and tobacco use, daily process research, and statistical methods, serves as a collaborating statistician working primarily on externally-funded research projects with faculty and trainees in ASU’s College of Nursing and Health Innovation and College of Health Solutions. His interdisciplinary collaborations have generally focused on psychological well-being, health behaviors, and health-related physiological outcomes.
Among the currently funded projects Dr. Todd is working on are studies of interventions aimed at increasing physical activity in adults and children, understanding and improving nutrition-related behaviors in children and families, and enhancing the psychological well-being of cancer patients and individuals with early stage dementias as well as that of their caregivers.
He also consults with and mentors undergraduates, graduate students, and postdoctoral trainees on research projects, including theses and dissertations.
