Guiding Research Questions:
- How can we best prepare our aspiring school leaders using strategies and scenarios that duplicate the actual roles and experiences of school leaders?
- How can we better personalize online instruction to provide a continually-improving educational experience for our students?
Current Research Projects:
As an educator in principal preparation, Dickson and colleagues have created and continue to refine the iLeadAZ program, a face-to-face program that actively involves our students in scenarios that replicate many of the situations and problems that face school principals today. As an educator in principal preparation, Dickson and his colleagues continue to refine our online education leadership program, utilizing more and better technology in our instruction, more opportunities for collaboration among our students, and more personalized interaction with our students, using Google Hangouts to conduct virtual meetings and conferences.
