Robert Kramer

Robb Kramer is a full-time instructor for the College of Integrative Sciences and Arts, and previously a Program Manager for training development for the Capital Projects directorate at Los Alamos National Laboratory—retired as of August 2023—specializing in applied knowledge approaches to workplace learning, communities of practice, evaluation and improvement for professional disciplines in Project Management, Project Controls and Construction Management. He also supported data visualization and UX for other organizations at the Lab, SharePoint and Teams communication spaces and Web development for a variety of large organizations and external programs.

For six of his now 20 years at LANL, he was a visual designer, technical illustrator and photographer for five science and research divisions, capturing images across a wide and often bizarre spectrum of equipment, laboratories and instrumentation.

His long-time interest in visual communication and digital content blends seamlessly in the adult learning and professional development disciplines as well as his academic interests in visual rhetoric, UX and communication, professional/technical communication and the design arts.

When not at work or teaching for ASU, Robb pends time training in the art of Aikido, motorcycling, photographing New Mexico landscapes and abandoned places, restoring antique carpentry tools, and woodworking, 

He is currently in his 10th year teaching CISA online courses in visual communication, technical communication, user experience, project management for technical communicators and Web authoring.
