Long Bio
David Boyles is an instructor in Writing Programs specializing in popular culture, digital literacy, visual rhetoric, and the rhetoric of higher education. He teaches ENG 101 and ENG 102, as well as ENG 107 and ENG 108, first-year writing classes for international students. His classes focus on examining the different rhetorical contexts in which writing occurs and the rhetorical aspects of visuals and digital media. Students examine how conversations travel between popular, civic, professional, and academic discourse communites and create projects that interact with these various communities.
