I am a scholar-activist striving to produce research and practice that contributes to achieving and sustaining human dignity and liberation. As an organizational and health communication scholar, I devote myself to advancing the scholarly and pedagogical missions of JEDI (justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion), which are strongly endorsed by Arizona State University. First, my organizational communication research addresses the issues of diversity, power/knowledge disparities, status hierarchies, and organizational justice to promote workers’ voice and well-being. Second, my health communication research seeks to reduce health inequity and discrimination, primarily by examining various health challenges among marginalized populations and developing inclusive and appropriate health intervention programs based on mobile platforms. My recent trajectory demonstrates my explicit emphasis on organizational justice and health justice as well as my commitment to building an inclusive and just community.
