I am a scholar-activist striving to produce research and practice that contributes to achieving and sustaining human dignity and liberation. As an organizational and health communication scholar, I devote myself to advancing the scholarly and pedagogical missions of JEDI (justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion). First, my organizational communication research addresses the issues of diversity, power/knowledge disparities, status hierarchies, and organizational justice to promote workers’ voice, dignity, and wellbeing. Second, my health communication research seeks to reduce health inequity and discrimination, primarily by examining various health challenges among marginalized populations and developing inclusive and appropriate health intervention programs based on mobile platforms. My recent trajectory demonstrates my explicit emphasis on organizational justice and health justice as well as my commitment to justice and social transformation. I also actively publish in my mother tongue, under my Korean name 김정희원.
