Linda Davis is Art Director at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication.
She oversees all visual materials that tell the story of the Cronkite School and its academic degrees and the units that fall under it. Units which include the professional programs, the Knight-Cronkite Co Lab, Carnegie-Knight News21, Howard Center for Investigative Journalism and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Southwest Health Reporting Initiative. The school visual communications include several weekly newsletters for both events and students, and a monthly newsletter for the school; numerous digital screens of content in the building and all marketing and advertisement out-of-house and in-house visual supports.
She produces material such as print and digital invitations, conference material etc for over 100 public events annually. The largest of which is the annual Walter Cronkite Award for Excellence in Journalism luncheon hosting 1200 journalists and media professionals. And student events like annual Scholarship Celebration.
She oversees all Cronkite merchandise and has fun producing all outreach material and giveaways for the high school ( individualized notebooks) and middle school camps that the school hosts during summer and winter breaks. She delights in designing and overseeing the semesterly-mailing of the 300+ deans list and the 200 media passes each semester for the Cronkite News student journalists in all 3 bureaus— Phoenix, Los Angeles and DC.
She designs and oversees the creation and installation of all donor signage and displays like the annual Crowder photojournalism wall
She single-handedly is responsible for the layout and design of the school’s annual publication, The Cronkite Journal, featuring the latest news from the Cronkite School, including new faculty, programs, awards and facilities as well as features on top students and alumni and averages 140 pages.
Prior to joining the Cronkite School she was with ASU Student Media (2000-2008), supervising teams of students in the production of the daily newspaper, The State Press, weekly magazine, SPM and website.
She holds a degree in Digital Communications and Media/Multimedia from The Art Institute and a BA in Liberal Arts and Sciences, Humanities from Arizona State University.
