Long Bio
Behshad Mohajer is a water sustainability researcher and specializes in sustainable water management within civil and environmental engineering and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Sustainable Engineering in School of Sustainable Engineering and the Built Environment. Behshad also contributes to the development of web-based geospatial applications and tools aimed at enhancing water management strategies in Arizona.
Behshad's research focuses on improving sustainable water management practices by unraveling complex relationships within hydrological systems at various scales. His work not only delves into the scientific aspects of hydrological science and water resources systems but also explores the policy implications of his findings.
In 2021, He received the ASU Earth Systems Science for the Anthropocene (ESSA) Summer Graduate Research Grant for his research on studying coupled human-water systems in Northern California. Since 2021, Behshad has also been serving as the board member of the Phoenix Branch of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). This role reflects his dedication to engaging with the community and facilitating discussions on important civil engineering topics.
