Adriane Raff Corwin is a Faculty Associate for the Sidney Poitier New American Film School, where she teaches screenwriting, career and portfolio preparation.
She is an MFA-squared! She holds a MFA in Theater - Dramatic Writing from Arizona State University and an MFA in Game Design from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. She also has a MA in Political Science - Futures Studies from the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa.
She owns a game design studio-business, Pigeon's Path Games, which designs immersive, location-specific adventure gamebooks, using her expertise in puzzle, spacial, and narrative design.
In her scripts, she combines her passions for comedic storytelling and politics to examine how we’ve been taught to look at the world. Her play, “How to Save the Polar Bear,” is published by Concord Theatricals-Samuel French. She is currently at work on a feature-length screenplay that takes place at South Mountain.
She is also an experienced improvisational actor, having studied long-form improv and musical improv at many theaters in New York City, as well as at iO Theater and The Second City in Chicago, where she worked with some of the best teachers of the art form.
