Mindy McEntee is an assistant professor in the College of Health Solutions. Trained as a clinical psychologist, she is interested in pragmatic, collaborative, interdisciplinary research that aims to: (1) address health inequities and disparities, (2) increase engagement in healthcare among patients and providers, and (3) improve health outcomes, particularly quality of life. She brings an environmental systems perspective to study how modifiable contextual factors (organizational culture, policies, workflows, stigma, technical infrastructure, etc.) impact health and how this information can be applied to more effectively adapt and implement behavioral interventions in primary care and community settings. She also has expertise in psychological measure development, quality improvement processes and program evaluation, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, motivational interviewing, and is an advocate for weight-inclusive care.
