Arizona State University
In 2016, Anahí joined Arizona State University, serving in various capacities. In her current role as Learning Enterprise's assistant creative director and marketing manager for Global Initiatives, she is deeply committed to harnessing education for social and economic empowerment, catering to learners across all life stages. In her previous position at ASU, Anahí played a pivotal role in scaling and managing communications and business operations for the ASU Center for Biodiversity Outcomes—a collaborative venture between the ASU Global Institute of Sustainability and Innovation and the School of Life Sciences. Over five years, she oversaw all media requests, ensured adherence to ASU Brand guidelines and AP writing style, and crafted and edited over 300 news blurbs, reports, and feature stories. Anahí also managed the center's financial accounts, totaling 15, and served as the HR liaison, successfully facilitating the onboarding process for 24 team members.
University of Louisville
Before relocating to Arizona, Anahí spent five years at the University of Louisville's employee wellness program, where she provided comprehensive administrative, financial, and communications support to the assistant VP for health, wellness, and disease management. In this capacity, Anahí effectively managed a $1 million annual budget and spearheaded a strategic plan, endorsed by the president's office, for a $1.3 million renovation of a 22,000 sq. ft. wellness center.
Additionally, she crafted and delivered weekly presentations for new employees and adeptly addressed over 250 customer service inquiries annually. Through her efforts, she significantly boosted employee participation from 74% in 2012 to 77% by 2016, positively impacting 4,321 university employees.
Anahí's contributions culminated in the University of Louisville's receipt of prestigious accolades, including the American Heart Association Platinum Fit-Friendly Awards (2011–2015), Louisville Business First Corporate Leadership Award (2010–2015), and the Major's Healthy Hometown Worksite Wellness Awards (2010–2015).
Northeastern Illinois University
During her eight-year tenure at Northeastern Illinois University, Anahí played a pivotal role as a program assistant and multidisciplinary artist at the Center for College Access and Success, formerly the Chicago Teachers Center. She conducted over 20 art-integration lessons from PreK to 12th grade, benefiting students across 10 Chicago Public Schools. Anahí also spearheaded the daily operations of the READwELL grant (a program designed to train English Language Learners teachers), ensuring its smooth implementation and impact.
Furthermore, Anahí actively contributed as a member of the communications committee, where she developed and executed strategic marketing campaigns for various events, including conferences, workshops, and cross-program initiatives. Her responsibilities included conducting participant interviews for both print and video publications and crafting, editing, and illustrating the internal newsletter. Through her diverse skill set and dedication, Anahí played an integral role in advancing the Center's mission of promoting educational access and success.
