Holly is the Assistant Director of Instructional Design for the School of Life Sciences and leads the Teaching and Learning Center, a group of embedded instructional designers offering faculty support through instructional coaching and professional development, promoting best teaching practices in all course modalities. TLC guides faculty in course design for both SOLS undergraduate and graduate programs, including development of accessible and inclusive instructional materials and academic multimedia.
Holly joined ASU in 2022 as a Learning Technology Specialist. Holly is an accomplished instructional designer with a strong foundation in education and a passion for creating engaging and effective learning experiences. As a longtime educator, Holly brings a unique perspective to the field of instructional design, blending pedagogical expertise with innovative student-centered instructional strategies in both immersion and online classrooms.
As a teacher-librarian, Holly gained hands-on experience in designing curriculum, developing lesson plans, and implementing various teaching methodologies to meet diverse learning needs. Driven by a desire to make a broader impact on education, Holly transitioned to the field of professional development and online course design. Holly holds a Master's degree in Educational Technology with graduate certificates in Instructional Design and e-Learning.
With a strong commitment to accessibility, DEI, active learning, and the effective use of emerging technologies, Holly works to support and advise faculty in building classroom communities that foster student success and drive exceptional learning outcomes in the spirit of ASU Charter excellence.
