Rebecca is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Arizona State University, with a specialization in social and behavioral sciences. Her expertise extends to research methodologies and software, particularly SPSS, ATLAS.ti, NVivo, and the REDCap systems.
Rebecca’s research focuses on analyzing relationships between sociological factors and biological outcomes. She also researches public health nutrition and activity promotion targeted to underserved youth in Maricopa County.

Sustainability via Active Garden Education (SAGE) is a garden-based physical activity and nutrition program for early care and education centers that meets Arizona education and national standards to help increase physical activity and increase healthy consumption habits among three to five-year-old children. The data we collect is used as empirical evidence for published scientific journals and helps inform and shape local policy.

The NEXUS research lab is focused on reducing racial inequality and fostering Latinx development through cultural resilience in adolescence. We examine the role of school climate among adolescents of Latin American descent. and strive to explore the ways school climate can reduce inequality and serve as a protective factor for Latinx youth.
