Brie Whitneybell
Brie is a Washington State native who moved to Arizona back in 2020. Since moving to Arizona, she has completed her masters in English Literature from SNHU in the spring of 2022 and is currently pursuing her PhD in English Education at ASU. During her masters dissertation, she focused on DEI in the classroom at the height of "critical race theory" and had experiences that pushed her into a new outlook. From there, her research drove her to look at how politics hinder students when banning multicultural texts. As she mitigates her doctoral, she plans to research racial illiteracy and injustice within the education system.
