  • Emma Frow's research focuses on the governance of emerging biotechnologies, with a particular focus on synthetic biology. She joined ASU in 2015.
  • Lekelia “Kiki” Jenkins, studies the human dimensions of marine technologies to create sustainable ocean uses and the role of science dance in science communication. She has won numerous awards for her work.
  • Sterner uses methods from philosophy and social science to investigate how knowledge systems can better address wicked problems. His current projects focus on biodiversity data, modeling, governance, and philosophy.

  • Nicholas promotes engagement among scientists, public audiences, policy makers, and cultural organizations to address uncertain, contested, and technical topics.
  • Hosman co-directs the SolarSPELL initiative, focused on building information literacy via offline digital libraries. She is faculty in the School for the Future of Innovation in Society and the Polytechnic School.
