  • Edward (Ned) Wellman's research investigates leadership and teams. His passion is in understanding the personal journey involved in becoming a leader and how leaders can inspire positive change in others.
  • Sha's research concerns ethico-aesthetic improvisation, and a topological approach to morphogenesis and process philosophy.
  • Georgescu's interests are on human-environment interactions, with research aimed to improve understanding of phenomena related to urbanization-induced landscape change. He is a member of the Urban Climate Research Center.
  • Sterner uses methods from philosophy and social science to investigate how knowledge systems can better address wicked problems. His current projects focus on biodiversity data, modeling, governance, and philosophy.
  • Dr. Dina Ziganshina Lienhard received her PhD in Biology (Biology & Society) from ASU in 2023 and currently works as the Senior Program Manager at the School of Complex Adaptive Systems at ASU.
  • Dr. Shutters fuses evolutionary ecology and economics to better understand complex social systems and to create evidence-based decision support tools for planners facing economic transformations.
  • Yan is a second year evolutionary anthropology PhD student in SHESC. She works with Robert Boyd and Sarah Mathew on human evolution and human cultural transmission.
