Dr den Heyer is a mixed-methods researcher whose interests include police organizational reform and performance, police service delivery effectiveness, the police response to terrorism and the militarization of policing.

Meerow combines the disciplines of geography and urban planning as she researches how to make cities more resilient in the face of climate change as well as other social and environmental hazards.
