Park received his B.A. and M.A. in Chinese Language and Literature from Seoul National University, Republic of Korea.

Ph.D. candidate in Comparative Culture and Language, working on Japanese ethnographic film and visual culture.

Lauro is a historian of 19th and 20th century Japan and he is currently an Assistant Teaching Professor of Asian History in the School of Historical, Philosophical and Religious Studies at Arizona State University.
