Arlene Fernandez is a Program Manager of Research at Arizona State University, where she leads technology-enabled clinical research initiatives across digital health, mobile applications, wearable technologies, electronic data capture, and remote monitoring. Her work spans the full research lifecycle, from study planning and regulatory startup through recruitment, implementation, data collection, monitoring, closeout, and reporting.
Arlene specializes in cross-functional project leadership, workflow design, project-management systems, UI/UX collaboration, technology implementation, data quality, and operational improvement. She has created and managed more than 100 project management boards and develops workflows, dashboards, automations, and integrations that improve visibility, accountability, communication, and follow-through across distributed teams.
She also trains and coaches Project Coordinators, Project Managers, Program Managers, students, staff, faculty, and research collaborators as they navigate ASU and College of Health Solutions systems and processes. Her work connects people, technology, and operations to help complex initiatives move forward effectively.
