Taylor Notah (Diné) is an award-winning journalist who serves as the Communications Specialist in the American Indian Studies and Center for Indian Education departments at ASU. Taylor is passionate in her role as senior editor of Turning Points: A Guide to Native Student Success, ASU’s Indigenous student magazine that publishes yearly. Taylor also serves as the managing editor for the Journal of American Indian Education, a refereed journal that features original scholarship on education issues of American Indians, Alaska Natives, Native Hawaiians, and Indigenous peoples globally. In all of her work, Taylor is dedicated to showcasing the beauty and strength of Indigenous peoples and cultures through communication, design, and marketing.
Taylor is a citizen of the Navajo Nation and currently resides on the ancestral homelands of the Akimel O'otham and Pee Posh peoples (Phoenix). Taylor is a professional member of the Indigenous Journalists Association and volunteers her time advocating for autism awareness and acceptance among the Navajo Nation through Northern Arizona University's Diné Parents Taking Action research program. Taylor is an avid video gamer (Xbox and Nintendo here), enjoys studying music, traveling, growing her book and record collection, and spending time with her family, pets, and plants.
