Long Bio
Shea Alevy serves as the Director of Staff Operations for the Downtown community in Barrett, The Honors College. He spent several years in residence life, where he focused on student engagement through service learning and discovery. Shea worked as the Graduate Assistant for Sustainability while earning his Master's Degree in Counselor Education at Clemson University and is currently researching Indigenous Knowledge Systems and Pedagogy as a PhD student at ASU. For the last four years, Shea has also served as the Chair for NASPA’s Sustainability Knowledge Community, a group driven to advance the profile of sustainability within higher education. He has dedicated his career and research to identifying new ways to motivate students through sustainability education, holistic wellness exploration, and social justice initiatives. Outside of work, Shea enjoys creating and listening to music, exploring nature, and spending quality time with his spouse, Melissa, and rescued Pitbull, Koda.
