Dr. Katikos is a clinical assistant professor and assistant division director at Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College. As a passionate clinical faculty member and an experienced teacher leader, she supports PK-12 partners in implementing MLFTC teacher preparation pathways. In addition to ensuring pre-service teachers have access to practice-based opportunities, she is committed to providing high-quality support while on the job. As well as fostering opportunities for teacher candidates to gain real-world experience, she supports PK-12 partners in teacher recruitment and retention.
Ashley holds a bachelor's degree in secondary education from Western Michigan University, a master's degree in educational leadership from Northern Arizona University, and a K-12 principal certificate from Northern Arizona University. Recent publications include her dissertation: FACULTY PERCEPTIONS OF ONLINE TEACHING AND LEARNING: AN INTERPRETIVE PHENOMENOLOGICAL ANALYSIS
Prior to joining the Mary Lou Fulton team, she served as a TAP (teacher advancement program) master teacher and school administrator. In this capacity, she provided leadership, professional development, and a student-centered focus to the title 1 campus she served. Her school was recognized and awarded the Educational Excellence Impact Governors Award for student achievement growth and the Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College Award for TAP implementation.
