Bryan Daniels studies the logic of collective behavior in living systems. From proteins in a cell to neurons in a brain to animals in a society, his work approaches the question: How does coordinated, adaptive, purposeful collective behavior arise from noisy, fluctuating, uncertain components?
Daniels is an assistant professor in the School of Complex Adaptive Systems and is affiliated with the Global Biosocial Complexity Initiative and the ASU-SFI Center for Biosocial Complex Systems.
