Long Bio
Santiago Gea is an Instructional Designer at Arizona State University (ASU). He holds an undergraduate degree in Linguistics from the University of Florida and a master's degree in Learning Design and Technologies from ASU. Currently, he is pursuing an MA in Narrative & Emerging Media at ASU.
Following the completion of his master's studies, Santiago Gea has worked as an education designer on various projects at ASU Learning Experience. Presently, he serves as an instructional designer for Operation Math/Mathspine. In this role, he designs and develops engaging math curriculum materials, adapts content to cater to adaptive learning needs, and facilitates the integration of instructional content across multiple platforms.
Cambridge University Press, Gradarius, CogBooks, and ASU have collaborated to create innovative digital student experiences. One such project is MathSpine, a collaborative effort that provides adaptive learning content, placing emphasis on equity, inclusion, accessibility, and personalization for all learners.
During his free time, Santiago enjoys traveling, engaging in creative arts, and playing the guitar. Furthermore, he contributes as a faculty associate at Mary Lou Fulton Teacher's College, where he is deeply interested in exploring meaningful approaches to reimagine teaching and learning through digital technologies.

LDT 508 - Evaluation of Learning Systems:
Examines procedures for evaluating educational programs, training systems and new-technology applications. Focuses on basic evaluation concepts, steps in conducting a systematic evaluation project, the preparation of an evaluation report, as well as ethical issues.

LDT 523 - Distance in Online and Distance Education:
Investigates current issues and trends specific to the implementation of web-based teaching and learning as well as practices for effective online instruction. Examines online learning principles, practices and their effectiveness by exploring the use of related systems and applications.

LDT 502 - Design and Development of Instruction:
Centers on the design and development of competency-based instructional materials, based on a variety of instructional design models, for learning in a multitude of settings.
