Braden Timmons

Entering my eighth year in higher education in Fall 2025, I bring a multifaceted background as a Senior Academic Success Advisor and part-time faculty member. My professional experience spans admissions, academic advising, and teaching across multiple educational levels, with a sustained focus on student success in higher education. After teaching ASU 101 in Fall 2023, I have gone on to teach UNI 220 for multiple semesters, where I continue to enjoy engaging students in the classroom and supporting their academic development.

I hold a bachelor’s degree in Social Science with concentrations in History and Education and a master’s degree in Management and Organizational Behavior, both from Benedictine University. I recently completed a second master’s degree in Film and Media Studies at Arizona State University in Fall 2025. Beginning in February 2026, I will pursue a doctoral degree in Higher Education with a concentration in Leadership, further advancing my commitment to educational leadership and institutional impact.

In addition to my work in higher education, I am a film critic and award-winning filmmaker. I manage BAT Productions and am a proud member of the Phoenix Critics Circle (PCC). My creative and scholarly interests in cinema inform my interdisciplinary approach to teaching, advising, and mentorship, bridging academic theory with cultural and media analysis.
