Braden Timmons

Entering my ninth year in higher education in Fall 2026, I bring a multifaceted background in academic advising and teaching. My professional experience spans admissions, academic advising, and instruction across multiple educational levels, with a sustained focus on student success in higher education. After teaching ASU 101 in Fall 2023, I went on to teach UNI 220 for multiple semesters, further developing my passion for engaging students in the classroom and supporting their academic and personal development. This will be my fourth year teaching the course and I have loved every bit of it. 

I hold a bachelor’s degree in Social Science with concentrations in History and Education and a master’s degree in Management and Organizational Behavior, both from Benedictine University. I also hold a master’s degree in Film and Media Studies from Arizona State University, which I completed in Fall 2025. I am currently pursuing an Ed.D. in Leadership with a concentration in Business Management at the American College of Education. My passion for business management stems from an interest in how leadership, organizational culture, strategic decision-making, and effective management practices can strengthen organizations and the people they serve. I am particularly interested in applying these principles within higher education to improve institutional effectiveness, employee engagement, and student success.

In addition to my work in higher education, I am a film critic and award-winning filmmaker. I manage BAT Productions and am a proud member of the Phoenix Critics Circle (PCC). My creative and scholarly interests in cinema inform my interdisciplinary approach to teaching, advising, and mentorship, allowing me to bridge educational practice with cultural and media analysis.
