Braden Timmons

Entering my ninth year in higher education in Fall 2026, I bring a multifaceted background in academic advising, teaching, and student success. My professional experience spans admissions, academic advising, and instruction across multiple educational levels, with a sustained commitment to supporting students throughout their educational journeys. After teaching ASU 101 in Fall 2023, I went on to teach UNI 220 for multiple semesters, further developing my passion for classroom engagement and supporting students' academic and personal development. Now in my fourth year teaching the course, I continue to find fulfillment in helping students navigate their educational experiences and achieve their goals.

I hold a bachelor's degree in Social Science with concentrations in History and Education and a master's degree in Management and Organizational Behavior, both from Benedictine University. I also hold a master's degree in Film and Media Studies from Arizona State University, which I completed in Fall 2025.

I am currently pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) at the American College of Education, furthering my interests in organizational leadership, strategic management, and institutional effectiveness. My doctoral studies build upon my professional experience in higher education and my academic background in management, allowing me to explore how business and leadership principles can strengthen educational institutions and the communities they serve. I am particularly interested in organizational culture, employee engagement, strategic decision-making, and the application of effective management practices to advance institutional effectiveness and student success.

In addition to my work in higher education, I am a film critic and award-winning filmmaker. I manage BAT Productions and am a proud member of the Phoenix Critics Circle (PCC). My creative and scholarly interests in cinema inform my interdisciplinary approach to teaching, advising, and mentorship, allowing me to bridge educational practice with cultural and media analysis.
