Huan Wu joins SEMTE as an Assistant Professor in 2025. Before joining ASU, he was a postdoctoral researcher in the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department at UCLA and in the Physics Department at ASU. He received his PhD degree from UCLA in 2022.
His research focuses on electron and phonon transport. His approach combines first-principles calculations grounded in quantum physics with advanced computing to generate theoretical insights, and complemented by a systematic exploration through material characterizations, experimental observations and device designs. His work lies at the intersection of energy science, materials science, thermal engineering, microelectronics, condensed matter physics, first-principles calculations, and machine learning.
