Smith teaches a wide selection of courses in areas within applied linguistics. His research focuses on computer-assisted language learning.

Robert Kleinsasser is a member of the graduate faculty doctoral interdisciplinary area committees in applied linguistics and learning, literacies and technologies.

Restrepo is a professor of speech and hearing science and associate dean for research. Her research focuses on better understanding bilingual children’s language and literacy skills.

Prior holds a doctorate in second language acquisition (SLA). He teaches courses in applied linguistics, qualitative methods, discourse analysis and pragmatics, sociolinguistics, second language acquisition, and TESOL.

Turker teaches courses on Korean language and Korean linguistics as well as general linguistics courses.

Beas is interested in in linguistic typology and in the formal and generative approach to language.

Beaudrie teaches graduate courses in second and heritage language pedagogy and bilingualism. She is also the lead faculty for the PhD track in heritage language pedagogy and research.
