Dr. Trish Bawn serves as the Interim Dean of Students at Arizona State University's Polytechnic campus, where she leads strategic initiatives focused on student success, retention, inclusion, student leadership development, and civic engagement. With a rich history at ASU, Dr. Bawn has held key leadership roles, including Director of Community Placements for the College of Health Solutions, Director of TRIO Student Support Services in Tempe, and Assistant Director of Student Accessibility and Inclusive Learning Services. Dr. Bawn is also a dedicated educator, having taught courses in ASU's Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College and the College of Health Solutions, further enriching her commitment to student development and community impact.
A first-generation college graduate and Double Devil, Dr. Bawn earned both her Doctorate in Behavioral Health and Master of Education from ASU. Born and raised in Appalachia, Dr. Bawn firmly believes in the transformative power of education to change lives, and strives to build pathways to success, empowering students to achieve their educational dreams and to create lasting impacts in their community.
Beyond her contributions to ASU, Dr. Bawn brings extensive senior leadership experience in the fields of integrated healthcare, autism, and services for adults with disabilities, where she has successfully guided restructuring and re-alignment efforts, playing a crucial role in enhancing the operations of these institutions.
Dr. Bawn previously served as the Knowledge Community Coordinator for Disability Concerns at NASPA, showcasing her dedication to advocating for inclusive education and support for students with disabilities.
