Amy Bartlett

Amy Bartlett is a Clinical Associate Professor and the Professional Experience Lead for Student Teaching in the Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College at Arizona State University. She supports the undergraduate team of supervisors, student teachers, and mentor teachers in a multitude of ways throughout the practicum experience. Additionally, she designs, coordinates, and teaches science methods courses in the Division of Teacher Preparation. She works closely with elementary and secondary teacher candidates in undergraduate and graduate programs and also supervises those placed in secondary science classrooms for their Professional Experience courses.

Prior to working for ASU, Amy taught science for 19 years in the Peoria Unified School District at the elementary, middle school, and high school levels. She has an M.S. in Space Studies and a passion for teaching Earth and space science. As a NASA MESSENGER Educator Fellow, she organized and facilitated educational outreach for over 500 teachers at local and national conferences between 2010-2015.

Currently, Amy works closely with ASU colleagues to prepare teachers to use inquiry-based methods in their classrooms. She also enjoys conducting professional development for existing teachers across the Phoenix area to equip them with tools and strategies to successfully implement STEM in their classrooms.
