Dan has led digital transformation projects at Higher Education institutions and in the private sector in Australia, UAE, USA, and the UK. He co-founded and leads the Next Lab at Arizona State University, accelerating the university's strategic vision through thought leadership and collective action across the education enterprise.
Previously, he was the head of Learning Environments and Innovation at James Cook University, where he led the digital transformation project, developed new campus learning spaces, and was awarded the Vice Chancellor Award for Excellence in recognition of his collaborative practice.
Dan began his career in education as a lecturer of digital design in the UK and was later appointed as Senior Lecturer at the University of Canberra, where he taught ‘Design for Online Learning’ and researched the application of Augmented Reality in Education in a 2-year study funded by the Australian Government Office for Learning and Teaching. He regularly speaks at national and international conferences on learning futures, university architecture, and leadership in technology.
