Indira Jeffrey's career and academic studies have spanned the US, Mexico, Latin America, and Europe.
A Banking and Finance Professional and passionate Entrepreneur, she has launched two successful startups (a third in the concept phase) focused on Economic Development, serving non-profits, startups, and government entities.
As an Associate Director of Global Operations at Arizona State University, she manages and executes complex and diverse projects that support the university's research and innovation goals overseas. With over 25 years of experience in global operations, business consulting, higher education, and finance, I have developed a robust skill set in project management, international development, and business strategy.
Global Operations provides crucial support to ASU’s rapidly growing global enterprise. We reduce the risks and burdens of conducting international business by developing ASU’s infrastructure and delivering global project solutions. On sponsored projects, we are the central resource for foreign legal, tax, employment, financial, procurement, and health and safety issues.
Before that, Indira worked as Program Manager for Thunderbird for Good; she oversees the implementation of Thunderbird's commitments to DreamBuilder, an online entrepreneurship training program for women entrepreneurs. Indira's responsibilities included, but was not limited to:
- Managing the relationship with the clients.
- Managing relationships with partner organizations.
- Processing all reporting and payments.
- Managing external vendors.
- Working with technology vendors on program development.
- Promotion of the program.
Indira has a stable 16-year career in banking and finance with Fortune 500 companies (Charles Schwab, JP Morgan Chase, and HSBC).
She held several roles ensuring compliance with department policies, procedures, objectives, and strategies and adherence to applicable State, Federal, and US Regulations, including OFAC, FDIC, and the Bank Secrecy Act. Indira's two startups in Economic Development serve corporate, non-profit, startup, SBO, and entrepreneurial clients across various industries, such as Education, Food and beverage, and Aerospace.
She is the founder of iGlobal Business Consulting, LLC. She manages marketing campaigns and social media, develops promotional collateral, and monitors, tracks, and supervises website activity. In 2002, She launched Crafted Products Mexicanos SA, where she helped 200 women entrepreneurs, SBOs, and startups in management, accounting, business incorporation, budgeting, forecasting, and marketing.
In August 2017, Indira Jeffrey participated in the Arizona—Mexico mission trade. The mission's goal was to create bridges, not walls, between the state of Arizona and Mexico. The group of 70 people, 35 Arizona government representatives and 35 Business owners, met with key representatives from Mexico City and the state of Guanajuato, including the Mayor and secretary of International Relations.
In April 2018, Indira Jeffrey organized the first bi-national International Trade Masters Series event in Mesa, AZ. This event aimed to present the different areas of international trade and promote commercial relations between Mexico and the USA. Indira is an active member of the Global Chamber, Phoenix Minority Business Development Agency, Thunderbird Alumni Association, and Toastmasters.
