Amber Hedquist works with ASU's Research Operations team to support ASU's research portfolio and manages the university's research participant recruitment tool: Research Plus Me
Amber is also a Ph.D. student in the Department of English at ASU. Her research areas include user experience, education, and technical and professional communication. Specifically, she investigates how researchers integrate and adapt research methods, technologies, and frameworks for collaboration to approach interdisciplinary and community-engaged research projects. Her published work includes contributions to Technical Communication Quarterly, the Online Learning Journal, the International Conference on Web-Based Communities and Social Media, and the American Educational Research Association (AERA) Annual Conference.

Amber is a current Ph.D. student in the Department of English at ASU. Her research areas include user experience, education, and technical and professional communication. Her work includes contributions to the Online Learning Journal, the International Conference on Web-Based Communities and Social Media, and the American Educational Research Association (AERA) Annual Conference.
Her prospective research agenda (2023-2025) will involve user experience and collaboration heuristics from professional and technical communication. These joint areas will help answer how the university can best collaborate, engage, and enrich the community through community involvement in university research.
