Alicia Sánchez VanDenburg, Ed.D. is a full-time Clinical Assistant Professor for the Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College and holds a doctoral degree in PK-12 Educational Leadership. Dr. Sánchez VanDenburg comes with 22 years of elementary education experience. In addition to being a bilingual teacher, she has worked closely with teachers to improve their practice in her roles as an Instructional Coach, Technology Coach, and Technology Coordinator. Dr. Sánchez VanDenburg also served as Principal at a PK-5 school for 3 years overseeing over 50 staff members in a low-income community.
Dr. Sánchez VanDenburg’s dissertation focused on the importance of building the leadership capacities of educators and how critical it is to provide administrators with strong coaching and mentorship to accomplish the complex task of leading a school. She is passionate about leadership and its profound impact on all areas of the school system.
