Kelli Kostizak is a Research Program Manager with ASU’s Biostatistics Consultation Core. Much of her work has focused on evaluating large-scale social and behavior change communication programs focused on eliminating harmful traditional practices among women and children around the world. Some topic areas Kelli has worked on in the past include violence against children, female genital mutilation, and discrimination against children with disabilities. Her research has centered on how to best measure knowledge, attitudes, behaviors, and social norms change over time, as well as identifying best practices to create more effective public health programs. Kelli has expertise in developing and validating quantitative and qualitative tools, and has published a guide on conducting participatory research. She also has program management and administration experience in a variety of areas including COVID-19, nutrition, and refugee health and wellness.
She graduated from Drexel University with her Master of Public Health degree in 2018 where her studies focused on Program Monitoring and Evaluation. She also has a Communications degree and an English degree from the University of Arizona. During her time at the University of Arizona, Kelli created and taught a leadership workshop for student preceptors and implemented and managed an internship program.
