Cynthia Padavano is currently an Instructional Designer with EdPlus Digital Learning (EDL). Being a part of ASU since 2014, she has held previous positions with ASU's Enterprise Technology (ET) and Global Launch (GL).

Friedrich's research areas include world Englishes, sociolinguistics, disability studies, peace and diplomacy. Her teaching includes the courses History of English, Sociolinguistics and Forensic Linguistics.

Shaw-Smith teaches WAC 107, ENG 17, and ENG 108. Shaw-Smith has many years of experience teaching International students at all ages and all levels.

I'm from Atlanta, but I've lived in Tempe for almost 20 years. I teach ESL to adult learners, and I train and certify ESL teachers. As an instructional designer, I've worked in both higher education and corporate settings.
