Michael Hacker is the Information Security Officer for Arizona State University's Knowledge Enterprise Research Technology Office, where he advises on matters of information security specifically as it pertains to research performed at ASU.
Michael is a military veteran, intelligence analyst, martial artist, guitarist, writer, teacher, linguist, and polyglot (Japanese, Russian, French, German, and Mandarin Chinese). He is the author of The Language of Aikido: A Practitioner’s Guide to Japanese Characters and Terminology, an Amazon #1 best seller in the Japanese and Martial Arts categories. He spends his free time teaching Japanese martial arts at the Renshinkan in Mesa, AZ, giving his dogs Chibi Habibi and Kenji the Dingaroo all the scratches, plinking away on various guitars, studying foreign languages, and writing.
